Snow Sport University Programs for Adults

Whether you are a first time skier/rider new to the sport, an intermediate looking to explore more challenging terrain, or an expert looking for some quick coaching before tackling the triple black, highly qualified instructors can help you develop the skills and state of mind to meet those goals.

Alpine Ski or Snowboard Group Lessons:
Two-hour group lesson. Specifically designed to help each individual, novice to expert! Guaranteed to get results. Daily (Levels 1-9) 10:00 am - noon or 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

The Mountain Experience for Skiers: If you are comfortable skiing on easy groomed blue trails and want to expand your horizons, this is the program for you (Levels 5-9, ready to ski Sterling and Madonna). You’ll get the most from this program by signing up for more than one day with the same group and instructor. Participants will also learn about how equipment helps with (or detracts from) performance and will get discounts on demo skis and/or lunches if desired. This 4 hour program will be offered 7 days a week at 10:00 am.

Women's Clinic: Improve your skiing or riding skills in a lighthearted and social on-snow session filled with tips that focus on the mechanics of how the female body moves on snow. Wednesday and Saturday, 10:15 - 2:00 pm. (Levels 1-9) Visit smuggs.com for more info

Snow Sport University Children's Programs

Snow Sport University (SSU) award-winning programs are designed to help you maximize both the exhilaration and satisfaction with your on-mountain explorations. Your kids, ages 3-15, will develop confidence and self-esteem and have lots of fun under the watchful eyes of caring, trained professionals. They'll be grouped by age and ability in full-day ski or snowboard camps (that include lunch) and learn, or improve, without even knowing that's the plan! SSU also offers 2-hour group lessons for ages 6-17, as well as private instruction for all ages.

Little snowboarders have fun learning in our Riglet Park, a terrain park specially sized for children ages 3-6 with a tree house and features like rollers, rainbox boxes and more. Night Schools for Snowboarding and Jibbing offer children and adults the opportunity to practice their skills under the lights on our learning hill. Young adults ages 16-20 (ski and ride levels 5-9) can explore the mountain on skis or snowboard with a guide in the morning, then choose an afternoon adventure such as ice climbing, Via Ferrata, Treetop Obstacle Course, or winter outdoor survival skills.
