Resort Dining at Stowe
If Food Matters, Stowe is Most Tasteful
Vermont is New England's most celebrated location for farm fresh meats, cheeses, produce, heirloom grains and local craftsmanship. Never before during the resort’s 75-year history has the level of food service ever been better in Stowe. Several new mountainside restaurants, the new Great Room at Spruce Camp, the classic Cliff House and a resort-wide attention to quality make Stowe Mountain Resort a foodie’s dream ski or golf vacation come true. Here’s a brief description of what Stowe offers. To view menus and hours of operation please visit http://www.stowe.com/activities/dining/
The Great Room at Spruce Camp - The Great Room is located at Stowe’s new Spruce Camp base lodge. The grand dining room features dramatic alpine-cathedral style detailing with four exhibition cooking stations and produces made-from-scratch breakfast, lunch and après-ski fare. Local and regional influences drive this high-quality bistro/grill environment. An inviting bar and lounge offers cappuccino and espresso, local beer, signature drinks and entertainment in front of a luxurious fireplace.
The Cliff House - The newly renovated Cliff House Restaurant, established in 1968, is distinctively situated 3,625’ feet atop Mt. Mansfield, Vermont’s tallest peak. The Cliff House serves the freshest seasonal fare resulting in an ‘ultra-country’ and local menu style. Renovations to the Cliff House include a beautiful and rustic interior, with high ceilings and expansive windows offering spectacular mountaintop views. The winter 2010 Summit Series dinners are scheduled to take place early-January through mid-March and reservations are required.
The Cottage - This new, architecturally stunning cottage is set on the foot of Stowe Mountain Golf Club at Spruce Peak. The intimate setting features wonderful views, a fireplace, bar, lounge areas, indoor and outdoor seating and a post & beam patio. Cuisine features local and regional ingredients for a truly sophisticated, inspiring and fulfilling meal.
Solstice - Located in Stowe’s new slopeside luxury hotel, Stowe Mountain Lodge, Solstice serves breakfast, lunch and dinners featuring food that is both refined and casual. Chef Sean Buchanan crafts an experience that gives guests a connection to the land of Vermont through dishes that focus on freshness, simplicity, and seasonal flavors. The restaurant also features regional microbrews, designer cocktails and rare wines by the glass; 24-hour in-room dining is also available. The 190 seat restaurant features the Hourglass Bar, a private dining room, furniture hand-carved by Vermont-based artistic woodworkers Parker Nichols and Charles Shackleton, custom pottery pieces designed by Miranda Thomas, an interactive chef station for daily breakfast, open kitchen for lunch and dinner and unsurpassed views of Spruce Peak Mountain.
