Ski Vermont believes that winter in Vermont is a way of life, an opportunity to get outdoors, to be healthy and active, and to share amazing experiences with friends and family. That philosophy has led Ski Vermont to develop the Fifth Grade Passport, a program that lets Fifth graders ski and ride for free, and fall in love with the experience of sliding on snow, now in its 12th year of enriching families’ winters.
This season marks the second year in which the program will also enrich the community by donating proceeds to Keep Local Farms.
When it comes to developing skiers and riders, Vermont resorts have also nurtured many an Olympic athlete to reach their full potential. As importantly, Vermont Olympians like Hannah Teter, Hannah Kearney, Ross Powers, Kelly Clark, Liz Stephen and Andy Newell have all learned that skiing and snowboarding, first and foremost, is about having fun – and sharing great times with family and friends.
It’s also about giving back to the community, globally and locally, as these athletes do personally, and in support of the Fifth Grade Passport.
Keep Local Farms is an education and contribution program that connects consumers with local dairy farmers and encourages the purchase of healthy, local foods which sustain the working landscape for future generations.
It's simple to get your 5th Grade Passport.

A Parent's Testimonial: “My daughter was in 5th grade last year and simply LOVED using the passport - as did our pocketbook. I recently mailed in my son's information who is in 5th grade this year so we can get to Vermont and get out in the fluffy white stuff! Again, many thanks for an excellent program!" - Mary Margaret Conners, New York.
