Triathlon Training Workshop

Are you ready to become a Triathlete? This weekend workshop is for those interested in learning more about competing in triathlons and in receiving individualized coaching.

This first workshop is intended for beginners or novice triathletes. Participants will need to bring their own bikes and bike helmets, running shoes, and swim suits. Participants will receive instruction on other gear required for triathlon competitions. A fun practice triathlon on September 1, 2013 is included in workshop (triathlon is extra).

The Frendly Gathering

Magic Mountain is your entry way to one of Vermont's best grassroots music festival: The Frendly Gathering. There's no "i" in Frends and this is a true "we the people" Vermont music and social event! 3 days of live music with multiple stages at Timber Ridge on the back side of Magic, with Magic serving as parking for shuttle buses to and from Timber Ridge. The Black Line Tavern and TimberQuest Park will be open for all concert goers and Magic will host a special Frendly Gathering Pre-Party on Thursday 6/27 from 3-9pm with live music!

Okemo Bicycle Hill Climb

A challenging 5.8 mile uphill bike race to the top of Okemo Mountain along Route 103 and Mountain Road. The event is based at Jackson Gore Village. This is the fourth year for this event and it is affiliated with the Bike Up Mountain Points Series (BUMPS), a series of eleven uphill races held throughout New England. Through the bike climb, the Ludlow Rotary hopes to increase community awareness and support research for Multiple Sclerosis. More info at www.hillclimbseries.com.

Red, White & Blues Festival

Okemo Mountain Resort celebrates Independence Day with an all-American concert featuring popular blues artists. Admission is free and music starts at 11:30am. The lawn in the courtyard at Okemo’s Jackson Gore Inn will be transformed into an outdoor concert venue for the day. Families are welcome, and all attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets. Okemo’s culinary staff will be serving frosty-cold beverages and fresh-from-the-grill burgers, hot dogs, pulled pork sandwiches and more.
