After the snow melts, summer at Vermont’s highest peak is a time and place that posse’s inspiring beauty and activities for everyone. Stowe Mountain Resort’s summer attractions are open June 21 through October 19. From the 150 year old Auto Toll Road to Stowe’s brand new luxury hotel, summer at Mount Mansfield and Spruce Peak offer unforgettable experiences for the entire family.

New this summer in Stowe is the magnificent Stowe Mountain Lodge, opening June 2008. The six-story, 139-room lodge draws on the architectural tradition of turn-of-the-century summer camps created by the great families of New England. The interior design emphasizes a contemporary take on natural beauty, enabling guests to experience Vermont through a mélange of old and new, rustic and romantic. Each room has been custom-designed as a respite from the hustle and bustle of every day life, with warm tones, plush furnishings and soothing amenities. The luxury lodge is further complimented by a world-class spa and wellness center, as well as the unique Solstice Restaurant. Solstice serves up Vermont cuisine and seasonal flavors inspired by ingredients and craftsmanship from the surrounding area, offering an exceptionally fresh, natural, and in many cases, organic dining experience.

Stowe is also the number one golf destination in Vermont, according to GolfLink.com. Stowe Mountain Resort is a premier 36-hole golf destination, offering two distinctive golf courses both on and off the mountain. From the historic Stowe Country Club to the brand new Stowe Mountain Club, golf in the Green Mountains of Vermont just doesn't get any better. Stowe Mountain Club has been recognized by Golf Magazine in 2008, as one of the “Top 10 new courses you can play.”

Stowe Mountain Resort’s full menu of summer attractions include; The Alpine Slide, Gondola Skyride, The Auto Toll Road, Bungee Trampolines, a Climbing Wall and Obstacle Course, hiking, dining, shopping, golf and Summer Mountain Adventure Camps for kids. Stowe’s authentic village combined with Vermont’s highest peak creates a New England getaway that’s second to none.
