Ascutney's Young Olympians programs offer age-specific ski and snowboard instruction, in a safe, fun, and encouraging environment. The Young Olympians program is taught by talented and qualified staff, who will provide your children with a great skiing and riding experience. This widely acclaimed program for youngsters ages 7-12 is for all ability level skiers and snowboarders. It provides a significant amount of on-mountain instruction and discovery combined with the camaraderie of meeting other children of similar age and ability level.

Ascutney's Mini Olympians programs offer age-specific ski and snowboard instruction, in a fun and encouraging environment. Tailored to children ages 4-6, this highly successful program is for all ability level skiers. Kids learn to ski in a fun, supportive atmosphere guided by our enthusiastic staff. At the end of the day each child feels proud as they are awarded their very own report card.

First-time or beginner skiers and snowboarders visiting Okemo Mountain Resort early in the 2008/2009 season are invited to participate in our Learn to Ski or Snowboard program - absolutely free! The beginner package includes a combination lower-mountain lift ticket, a level 1 or 2 beginner group lesson at 10 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. and introductory level rental equipment (skis, boots, poles, or boots and snowboard). This program is available for ages 7 and up at no charge every day, Monday, Dec 1 through Friday, Dec. 19, 2008. New this season! Reservations are recommended. Walk-ins will be accommodated on a space available basis. Please call (802) 228-1600. Beginners should arrive at the Okemo Express Rental Shop located in the Okemo Clock Tower base area about an hour before lesson time to register for the program and be fitted for equipment. As an added bonus, participants also qualify for a free First Tracks Plus card entitling them to continued discounts and benefits all season long on group lessons and full day recreational rental equipment packages or to purchase a full adult ski or snowboard package for $379 (inquire at Snowsports Center). If you have any questions, feel free to call the Learning Center at (802) 228-1600. Please note that a credit card deposit is required to obtain rental gear and anyone under the age of 18 must have a guardian present to sign a rental waiver form.

Private Coaching Looking for the quickest route to rapid improvement? Skiers and riders of all ages and abilities have benefited from private instruction with a pro from the Stowe Ski and Snowboard School. You choose the skills you want to develop, and you pick the terrain. You can even control the group size by inviting friends and family members to join you.
