Take A Ride To Foliage Perfection
WEST DOVER (September 20, 2010) – Mount Snow is preparing for what many people believe to be its most beautiful time of year, foliage season. With Labor Day in the rear view mirror its focus turns to the inspiring shades of reds, greens and yellows that occur for a brief period in the fall. For Mount Snow foliage season is an opportunity to showcase its picturesque scenery through scenic chairlift rides, hiking or mountain biking.
Usually starting the last week of September and ending near Columbus Day weekend, the foliage in Southern Vermont is among the best in the country. Vibrant colors, brisk fall breezes and the sweet smell of maple sugar are just a few examples of what guests can expect to come across.
The Vermont Life Wine & Harvest Festival takes place at Mount Snow on September 25 & 26. This is a weekend that showcases Vermont wines, specialty foods and artisans of all types. With a backdrop of beautiful fall foliage attendees will have the opportunity to do everything from taste unique wines to shop through an eclectic mix of vendors. The Vermont Life Wine & Harvest Festival has been named one of Vermont’s top ten fall events.
Of course no fall would be complete without lederhosen and German music. The 13th Annual Oktoberfest and 37th Annual Harvest Arts & Craft Show will take place in the Mount Snow base area on October 9 & 10. The Oktoberfest features German beer, food and games for your $20 admission while the Arts & Craft Show is free for all to attend.
