Dover, Vt. (June 27, 2014) – The summertime debut of The Bullwheel and new extended lift service hours highlight the beginning of Mount Snow’s full summer operations schedule, set to kick-off around the Fourth of July holiday.
Following a tremendously successful winter season as Mount Snow’s newest restaurant, The Bullwheel will once again be serving a menu that features charcuterie, finger foods and unique sandwiches at just above 3,600-feet in the newly renovated second floor of the Summit Lodge. Diners can choose from ten different draught beers as well as specialty cocktails from the full bar. The Bullwheel will be open Friday – Sunday from July 4 to October 13, with live music on the observation deck from 3-6 p.m. every Saturday (weather permitting).
To celebrate the grand summertime opening July 4- 6, The Bullwheel’s beer menu will also include cans of Heady Topper - the famous and hard to find American Double IPA brewed in Waterbury, VT by The Alchemist.
The Bluebird Express, North America’s only six-passenger bubble lift, will be open for scenic chairlift rides Friday – Sunday starting July 4, and will also serve as a mode of transportation for diners to get to The Bullwheel. Guests will receive five dollars off any sandwich on the menu when they present their scenic chairlift ride ticket.
Also new this year, downhill mountain bikers of all abilities will have an extra day to ride Mount Snow’s acclaimed lift served terrain with the addition of Thursdays to the schedule. Canyon Express Quad will provide access to the vast downhill mountain biking trail system Wednesday – Sunday starting July 2. Mount Snow Bike Park was voted the #2 Bike Park in the Northeast by readers of MTBParks.com.
A new element has been added to the mountain biking program with the completion of a pump track, located just outside of Mount Snow Sports in the Main Base Area. The pump track serves as a skills builder where new and experienced riders can work on their technique through a series of rollers and berms.
Harriman’s Farm to Table in the Grand Summit Resort Hotel has extended its summer hours and is open for dinner seven days a week with a menu featuring fresh products sourced locally. Harriman’s is a member of the Vermont Fresh Network.
The popular Beer Pairing Dinner Series at Mount Snow Golf Club’s Fairways Restaurant continues on the last Friday of each month throughout the summer and fall. Each event includes a four-course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Michael Giorgio, with each course carefully paired with beers from that month’s featured craft brewery.
