Porter Airlines and Vermont Ski Areas Kick Off the 2012-13 Season with a Big Sale
Porter Airlines flights between Toronto’s Billy Bishop Airport and Burlington International Airport begin on December 15, but avid skiers and riders can purchase them at discounts of up to 40% off base fares through December 7, 2012. Ski Vermont and four Vermont Ski Resorts have once again partnered with Porter Airlines to provide customers with an attractive winter getaway to the Green Mountain State and are pleased to begin another year of travel with an attractive sale on seats.
“Vermont ski resorts benefit greatly from this renewed airline service,” said Parker Riehle, Vermont Ski Areas Association President. “The announcement of the pre-season sale paired with doubling the number of flights makes this service even more attractive to enthusiastic skiers and riders in Toronto. And, with our 80% statewide snowmaking coverage, Vermont is open and ready to welcome all of our guests with the most open early season terrain we’ve seen in years.”
The sale running December 1-7, 2012 offers the lowest fares of the season. One way flights from Toronto to Burlington are as low as $144.00 CAD and round trip fares start at $231.00 CAD, which includes taxes, fees and surcharges. Advertised fares may not be available on all flights. Book by Dec 7th, travel by April 8th.
Four weekly roundtrip options, running Thursdays through Mondays, are available beginning December 15, 2012, doubling the service options from last season. Special Porter Ski packages and shuttle bus services for Jay Peak Resort, Smugglers’ Notch Resort, Stowe Mountain Resort and Sugarbush Resort are available. "The Chamber is excited that our partnership with Porter Airlines is continuing this winter and what better way to kickoff the season than with a sale." said Tom Torti, President of the Lake Champlain Regional Chamber of Commerce.
“We welcome Porter Airlines back to Burlington with excitement about their doubling of service from last year to four flights a week to downtown Toronto,” said Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger. “As our partnership with Porter continues to expand, we will show that our Airport not only can help bring visitors to Vermont but also can be an engine helping Vermont businesses find and explore new markets and opportunities. I want to thank the Airport team and our partners at Customs and Border Protection, the State and the Vermont Ski Areas Association. This collaborative approach to initiating regularly scheduled international service to the Airport is a model we can build on, and we look forward to additional partnerships as we move forward with introducing more new service.”
Flight options and sale details are available at www.flyporter.com, and are not limited to avid skiers from Toronto hoping to make turns on Vermont’s snowy peaks. Business travelers making their way to Canada’s largest city can also take advantage of the sale by booking travel from Burlington to Toronto’s Billy Bishop Airport at a discount.
