Superstars of mountain biking bring will add extra treat to NEMBAfest

East Burke, VT-On June 22 mountain bikers from all over the US and Canada will descend upon Burke Mountain and Kingdom Trails for the greatly anticipated NEMBAfest (New England Mountain Bike Association).   Festivities for the weekend include camping, a two day exposition of all things mountain biking, and demos from all the latest gear and mountain bike companies.  Along with over 50 group led rides and shuttles to and from East Burke Village to the NEMBAfest camping area, mountain bikers can expect to see (and even ride with) two celebrities in the world of mountain biking.  Gary Fisher, better known at the father of mountain biking and creator of the modern mountain bike, will be attending the festival with Wheelworks Bicycle Stores and Cycle Centers. Gary will address the mountain bike community before the live music shows on Saturday and may jump in a group ride or two.  On the freestyle side of things, world class professional freerider, Jeff Lenosky, will also be at the festival with two scheduled shows on both Saturday and Sunday.  Jeff holds the world record for the Bunny Hop, a high jump event using a full-size mountain bike.  Day tickets to the expo will be available at the ticket windows and weekend long camping tickets can be purchased at www.skiburke.com.
