Join the the Second Annual Great Up and Over: A Nordic Ski Event and Benefit
Supporting cultures and preserving environments through education.
Ski from the Trapp Family Lodge to its iconic cabin in the woods for lunch and fun, then down to the Matterhorn, a local Apres Pub and restaurant on Saturday, March 24.
Sign up is from 10-11:00 a.m. at the Trapp Family Lodge Ski Center and shuttles back to Trapp Family Lodge from the Matterhorn are from 2:00- 4:00 p.m.
Entry includes lunch at the cabin, 1/2 price ski rentals and a one day ski ticket. Donations are accepted. $30 per person, and $50 per family which is 2 or more family members.
The first Great Up and Over event funded an ipad, a smart phone, solar batteries and solar chargers to create a communications connection with a group of Maasai in Kenya. This fund-raising event is an effort to fund school building for this tribe called Il Ngwesi.Vermont author Jan Reynolds' book "Only The Mountains Do Not Move," follows the lives of this remote culture.
