Pico Mountain is please to announce it has created Planet Kids Park for children 8 and under for the 2010-11 winter season. The new children’s facility is a winter wonderland located in its own section of the resort near the Bonanza beginner area and designed to introduce kids to the excitement of winter sports.
“Planet Kids will provide parents an entertaining learning environment to introduce their kids to snow sports activities,” said Tracy Taylor, director of Pico Mountain. “The goal of Planet Kids is to get them outside enjoying winter first and foremost, while providing an opportunity to introduce them to skiing and snowboarding at an early age.”
Planet Kids Park will offer rental equipment and experienced staff on site to guide children every step of the way. The park features many activities, including snow tubing, a tree fort, snow volcano, skiing and snowboarding and riding on a 20’ carousel while enjoying their favorite on-snow sport.
Prices are $20 midweek or $25 on weekends and peak periods. Rentals are included in the price of admission and can only be used in Planet Kids Park or on the nearby Bonanza area lifts. A Planet Kids ticket can be used for $10 off any kid’s lesson program within 7 days of their dated ticket. Parents or guardians must be present with the children at all times.
