STRATTON MOUNTAIN, Vt.

Stratton Mountain Resort Hosts All Types of Family Fun

Stratton Mountain Resort in southern Vermont has something on tap for every member of the family, from the diaper set to the high flying park kids to those who won’t go near snow. This season, Stratton is offering a wide variety of activities and deals geared towards families big and small. Below, please find a list outlining some of most enticing family activities of the winter!

Mini Snowmobile Rides for Kids
A great activity for younger kids! Children 8 and older (and weighing less than 90 lbs) can drive their own mini Arctic Cat snowmobile around a groomed track in the Sun Bowl base area. The mini snowmobiles are available every Saturday, plus MLK and Presidents weekends.

Tubing
The lift serviced Coca Cola Tubing park, located on Big Ben in the Sunbowl will provide thrills for all ages for a second straight season. This four-lane behemoth opened to rave reviews in 2009-10, with lanes that stretch up to 750 feet long. New customer service improvements will make the Tubing park more family friendly with a warming hut and improved facilities among the improvements. Open Saturday’s and holidays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday from 4-8 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ice Skating at the Village Commons Pond
Ice skating on the pond in the Village Commons is a true Vermont experience. The mill House in the Commons is open from 4pm-10pm on Saturdays and select holidays, with marshmallows, a fire pit, board games and hot chocolate. A way for the entire family to experience winter together.

Kids Camp
Leave your kids with Stratton and have a night out; they’ll love it! Kids Camp at Night is geared towards kids ages 7-12 with nightly themes and costume parties. Beginning at 5:30pm, Kids Camp meets at the Junior Ski and Snowboard School building. Activities include snowshoeing, ice skating, crafts, movies and more! Dinner and S’More roasting included. Pick up is at 9pm. $39 per child, $20 if booked through Junior School or Seasonal Program on the same day. Pajama Party at Stratton Childcare is geared towards kids ages 2-6. Beginning at 5:30pm, kids will enjoy dinner, craft time and movie watching. Pick up is at 9pm. $39 per child, $25 if booked in Childcare Program the same day.

Kids Ski and Stay Free
Kids 17 and younger are invited to ski and stay free when two adults purchase a (2 night minimum) lift and lodging package in a family friendly condominium. PLUS, Kids can rent free too when an adult purchases a rental.

Stratton’s Sunday Four Pack
This deal is for half day Sunday afternoon lift tickets, breakfast in bed encouraged. For $99, receive 2 adult and 2 youth (17 and under) afternoon lift tickets as well as one cheese pizza from Double Diamond. Work up an appetite lapping the best runs on the mountain while everyone else is driving home and then pick up the pie for the ride home.

Junior Ski School
Here at Stratton, home of the first bona fide ski school for kids, we know how to start young skiers and riders off the right way. Stratton’s programs combine the fun of discovery, the challenge of trying new things and the thrill of acquiring new skills. Stratton offers programs for children of all ages, with Little Cub geared towards ages 4-6 and Big Cub for ages 7-12. Call for rates!
