Killington Resort

KILLINGTON, Vt. – Killington Resort is kicking off the New Year with world-class events, free Learn to Ski and Snowboard lessons, and some outstanding lodging deals to soak up all the on-mountain action and off-mountain relaxation.

Winter Dew Tour, Jan. 20-23
Stop No. 2 on the Winter Dew Tour rolls into Killington Resort with the best freeskiers and snowboarders from around the world competing for the prestigious Dew Cup. All events will take place at Killington’s Bear Mountain area, including Superpipe and Slopestyle competitions. Live music and a festival village will complement the on-hill action during the four-day event.

Under Armour 3rd Rail Jam, Jan. 1
The best way to kick off 2011 is with a rail jam! The Under Armour 3rd Rail Jam, named for the most lethal rail on the Subway in New York City, unites some of the nation's best amateur skiers and riders with authentic hip hop culture.

Collegiate Snow Fest & Winter Games, Jan. 2-14
Take a break from the library and breathe in the fresh mountain air at Killington Resort while enjoying two weeks of music, movies, events and parties. Ski and ride throughout the day, then head down the Killington Access Road and enjoy entertainment all night long.

Gatorade Free Flow Tour, Jan. 29-30
As the official amateur series of the Winter Dew Tour, the Gatorade Free Flow Tour offers winners from each event all expense-paid trips to the Gatorade Free Flow Tour Finals in February where overall winners earn a wildcard spot into the first Dew Tour stop the following season. The Gatorade Free Flow Tour is open to amateur competitors age 21 and under.

January Snow Blind Deals
Looking for a January deal? Skiers and snowboarders who are flexible enough to book their lodging "blind" can save up to 40 percent on lodging and lift ticket through the month of January. Killington offers incredible last minute prices, but you won't know the name of the property until after you've completed a reservation. As with all deals, there are some restrictions.  Reservations may only be made on-line and must be made at least 1-day prior to arrival.

Killington Ski & Spa Getaway
After a day on the slopes, rejuvenate body and soul at the Killington’s Grand Spa, located in the Killington Grand Resort Hotel. The Killington Spa Package is available anytime through April 16, 2011 and requires a minimum of two nights lodging, lift ticket and one spa treatment – choose from a large selection of services including massages, manicures, body wraps, facials etc.

Learn to Ski/Ride Free
Killington Resort is partnering with hundreds of resorts across the country for January  Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month and offering free Learn to Ski and Snowboard lessons to anyone 16 and older accompanied by a friend/family member purchasing a full-day adult lift ticket on the same day. Free lessons are limited to the first 150 who register and are not valid Jan. 15-17, 2011. Last year, more than 30,000 new skiers and riders were introduced to winter sports during the January Learn to Ski and Snowboard Month promotion. Those who take advantage of the free learning opportunities may purchase two additional days of lessons, including rentals and learning area lift tickets, for just $60.
